The stock pinion spacer, due to its structure and material, does not have the strength and can be prone to change the backlash and in a worst case scenario, to collapse. Most of the differential noise and blow are caused by this backlash change. J’s Racing Special Differential Distance Collar is made of S45C carbon steel and replaces the stock pinion spacer.
