A commonplace component, this unit uses engine coolant to warm up oil during cold starts and keep it cool during aggressive driving. Unfortunately, we've found that these coolers often sacrifice cooling performance when the engine is pushed for long periods.----The Mishimoto Miata oil cooler kit remedies this by removing the liquid-to-liquid cooler and replacing it with a 19-row stacked-plate oil cooler. Application-specific brackets place the cooler directly in front of the radiator for maximum airflow while -10AN braided stainless-steel lines carry oil to the cooler via a direct-fit sandwich plate and adapter.
