Market Description

ICON's V.S. 3.0 Series Remote Reservoir CDEV Bolt-In Coilover Conversion Kit will add a new level of performance and adjustability to 2017-2026 F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks. The advantage of utilizing a coilover conversion kit is that they have been designed to increase the overall damping ability of the vehicle while at the same time allowing for user-defined ride height adjustment. 3.0 Series shocks boast 50% more piston surface area compared to 2.5 Series shocks. This translates into increased stability and vehicle control at the extremes of off-road use, with benefits also making themselves apparent in on-road driving conditions. Increased internal oil volume and more external surface area compared to 2.5 Series shocks offer improved heat dissipation and resistance to shock fade under hard use. Like all ICON shock absorbers, V.S. 3.0 Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. The ICON CDE Valve upgrade is included for those desiring an easy way to tune the ride electronically from inside the vehicle. Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) is an electronically controlled valve that meters the flow of oil to regulate the amount of damping force that is created by the shock when compressed. This infinitely variable valve can react in less than 40ms and has the ability to make extremely precise adjustments for varying terrain. CDEV’s hydraulic circuits are also custom tailored per application to create the highest resolution and dynamic range allowable for each specific vehicle. Powered by ICON Intelligent Control and proprietary ICON mobile app, the system uses information from the onboard G-force sensor and Gyroscope to perform calculations based on algorithms and user-defined settings to predict terrain and adjust shock settings via the CDEV accordingly.

• APPLICATION NOTE #464: Due to tight clearances and varying placement of vehicle’s wiring harness in the upper front-passenger wheel well area, installer must ensure adequate clearance between the harness, coilover reservoir, and other components to prevent chafing/damage to wire harness. If adequate clearance cannot be achieved, please contact ICON Customer Service.
• APPLICATION NOTE #465: Included caster cams are not compatible with models with manual locking front hub on driver side ONLY. Models without front passenger side locking hub must omit cams and instead require aftermarket radius arms or 4-link conversion for proper wheel alignment, or an upgrade to passenger side manual locking hub for compatibility with caster cams.
• APPLICATION NOTE #461: 2005-2016 F-250s require 4” rear blocks with 15” U-bolt kit to sit level with 2.5” lifted front. ICON block kit part # 194275 and U-bolt kit part # 37003 (2005-2010 models) or part # 67003 (2011-2016 models) are recommended.
• APPLICATION NOTE #462: Brake line kit (Part # 61111) is optional for end users with 2017-2026 models who do not want to bend the factory steel lines or are looking for a braided stainless upgrade (not necessary for complete install)
• APPLICATION NOTE #463: If installing with ICON 2.5 Series or 3.0 Series remote reservoir secondary shocks, reservoir doubler kit part number 611003 is also required
