The SBX Competition Downpipe is a straight-through design for dedicated track and off-road builds. Hand-built in the USA to the same fabrication and weld standard as our GESI catted pipe, with an unrestricted straight-through path for maximum exhaust flow and the quickest possible spool.

Built to the same standard as our catted pipe

Most straight-through pipes for these platforms are cheap overseas units or one-off garage builds. This isn’t. The Competition Downpipe is fabricated to the same standard as our GESI catted pipe — same shop, same 304 stainless, same precision TIG welds — in a straight-through configuration for dedicated track use.

If you just want the cheapest straight-through pipe on the market, we’re honestly not it. If you want one built to a real standard and backed by a weld warranty, that’s exactly what this is.

Competition / Off-Road Use Only

This product is designed and sold exclusively for closed-course competition, track, and off-road use. It is not sold or warranted as legal for use on public roads or highways, and it is not intended or approved for street-driven vehicles.

By purchasing, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to all of the following:

The product will be used solely in competition and off-road applications.
The buyer assumes full responsibility and all risk for the purchase, installation, and use of this product.
The buyer is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations governing its use.
SBX Performance accepts no liability for any fines, penalties, citations, damage, injury, or other consequences arising from on-road use, misuse, or improper installation.
Professional installation and tuning are recommended; installation is performed at the owner’s risk.

Note: This pipe does not include OEM heat shield standoffs or hardware — the factory heat shield does not reattach to the Competition Downpipe. See Heat Management below.

Heat Management — Read Before You Wrap

The Competition Downpipe runs without the factory heat shield, so you’ll want to manage under-hood heat. There are two ways to do it:

Recommended — a form-fit downpipe blanket. Clamps on and off, controls radiant heat into the engine bay, and does not affect your weld warranty. The SBX × PTP Downpipe Blanket (Lava / Black Lava) is built to fit this pipe.
Not recommended — exhaust / header wrap. Wrap traps moisture and heat against the stainless and rots the pipe from the outside, and it voids your weld warranty (see Warranty below).

Install notes: Professional installation and tuning are strongly recommended. This is a competition part and should not be installed on a street-driven vehicle.

Warranty

Weld Warranty: 1 year warranty on welds from the purchase date.
Exhaust Wrap Notice: Using exhaust wrap on this downpipe voids all warranty coverage. Exhaust wrap creates a superheated moisture barrier between the wrap and the pipe that breaks the stainless down from the outside. Use a removable downpipe blanket instead.
Tune Notice: Pops and bangs, burble, flame, or aggressive crackle tunes that result in weld or pipe failure void all warranty coverage.

SHIPPING

All items are subject to a handling period before they are dispatched. 99% of orders leave the warehouse within 1-3 days of payment. We will notify you by email when your items have been shipped. Most items should be received within 3-7 business days of your order date. This may be longer for international delivery.

Lost or Damaged Shipments:
● We are not liable for packages that are lost or damaged during shipping. For damaged items, please contact the shipping carrier to file a claim.

RETURN/REFUND POLICY

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days of purchase your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

-Returns accepted within 30 days of purchase if the item is unused and in original packaging.
-Customer is responsible for return shipping unless the product is defective.
-Refunds processed within 5-7 business days after receiving the returned item.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
We do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
