The HRD PTFE Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket is a custom CNC cut gasket, made out of premium PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as Teflon. Compared to inferior thermoplastics, PTFE provides lower thermal conductivity and superior sealing ability.

This thermal gasket has been designed to work in conjunction with a coolant delete, such as from Tractuff. It also serves as a stencil when cutting your intake manifold so that you can achieve the perfect cut.

Superior Heat Resistance

Intake manifold gaskets are exposed to high temperatures from the engine and intake air. PTFE can withstand extreme heat, typically up to 260°C (500°F) and even higher for short durations, without degrading or losing its integrity. This heat resistance ensures that the gasket maintains a reliable seal even under the most demanding conditions, such as during prolonged high-performance driving.

Chemical Inertness

PTFE is chemically inert, meaning it resists reacting with most substances, including automotive fluids such as gasoline, oil, and coolant. This property is critical for intake manifold gaskets, as they come into contact with various chemicals that can degrade traditional gasket materials over time. PTFE’s chemical stability extends the lifespan of the gasket, reducing the need for frequent replacements.

This characteristic is vital for intake manifold gaskets, as they must form a tight seal between the manifold and the cylinder head to prevent air and fluid leaks.
